For our concept, we draw on “the chalet” that for many a year now has been prized by a very broad public. However, it was his many years of experience as a professional property developer that led Cedric Olivier to conceive the NØDGE: the modern, future-proof chalet.
He finds inspiration in the timeless architecture and sustainable construction solutions of both Scandinavia and the Alps.
Shortly after its launch NØDGE attracted the attention of a number of experienced investors with a shared vision and a passion for innovative project development. This has opened the way to an expansion of the NØDGE concept, with the selection of further outstanding locations and the broadening of our scope to include other areas, both in-country and abroad. But of course the focus for NØDGE will continue to be on unique, small scale projects with a strong emphasis on architecture and sustainability.
NODGE stands for quality
Quality is not just reflected in tangible things. It is an overall concept in which every aspect of quality is examined. Quality is not an empty word; it is the reflection of the company. An exceptional location, choosing sustainable materials, clear communication, sound documentation and, above all, good relations with the client form NØDGE’s core values.
Easy access but sufficiently ‘hidden away’
As a small-scale developer, we focus primarily on sustainable secondary residences and holiday homes in the Belgian Ardennes. With easy access but sufficiently ‘hidden away’. Accessibility is essential, to keep the escape route as short as possible. Coming from Flanders, we aim at about 2 hours’ travelling time. In that way, you can leave for a weekend away even on a Friday evening.
We also view every location with a highly critical eye, whether within Flanders or abroad. The sites where we create NØDGES must support the project, add to its architecture, and inspire the inhabitants.
