SURROUNDED BY NATURE

Les Hayons is a dreamy but sought-after village in the Semois valley, nestled between Bouillon and Bertrix. It lies on a ridge with stunning views and its feet in Les Alleines, a basin with clear, babbling brooks that flow into the beautiful, meandering river Semois. Les Hayons is literally surrounded by a massive forest where nature still thrives abundantly and stags roar when rutting. The ideal base for marvellous walks through nature, kayaking trips down the river or active cycle rides. A place to live life to the full, enjoy yourself or completely unwind.

At NØDGE, we are very selective when it comes to the location of our exclusive projects. The site must have easy access, but must also be sufficiently ‘hidden away’. This is a difficult balancing act that often requires time, experience and expertise. The site in Les Hayons is one where it all comes together. The site is very quick and easy to access by motorway and well-maintained, smaller local roads. It is also a quick drive to the centre of both Bertrix and Bouillon where you will find all manner of facilities such as supermarkets, restaurants, etc. The sloping site, that measures 4,710m², lies right on the outskirts of the village of Les Hayons, forming the final part of the village that can be developed. So peace and tranquillity are guaranteed.

HAY-ONE is the perfect example of a secondary residence or holiday home! A combination of the two would possibly make it even more interesting. The ideal mix of enjoyment and financial benefits.

The chalet is built on 3 storeys, fitting seamlessly into the sloping site. There is a street-side storey with an entrance hall, cloakroom, toilet, outside storage and a technical room. On the ground floor, there is the double-height living room with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. On the same floor on the garden side, there is a large kitchen diner with pantry.

On the first floor, there is a multi-purpose space that can serve as a games room and/or a library. There is also a night hall leading to 4 spacious bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, two further bedrooms each with en-suite shower and also one children’s room. At the end of the night hall, there is a separate toilet.

There is room to accommodate at least eight to ten people, depending on the arrangement of the bedrooms. The building benefits from underfloor heating everywhere, powered by a low-temperature, geothermal heat pump. The structure above the ground was constructed entirely using CLT. The facades are clad with black timber and the roof is covered with local natural slate.
The site also boasts an outbuilding, around 25m² in size, where we have installed a wood-fired sauna and also functional outside storage space. The outbuilding’s roof has been finished with an extensive green roof.
