PHILOSOPHY
NODGE is a high-quality residential concept in which sustainability and aesthetics go hand in hand; a concept that revolves around the occupants’ experience and contact with their surroundings.
Each NODGE is unique and we mean that pretty much literally. We do not churn out the same uniform look. That would bore us really quickly. We pare down the strengths of each site to their essence and then graft the architecture onto the strengths of the plot and its surroundings. We also design the interior on the basis of light, views and perception. Comfy corners to daydream in; space to live in and experience with family and friends; open space to relax in and commune with nature, or to explore the immediate surroundings.

We always try to achieve a pure and timeless design, making the most of our experience and creativity. The design is simple and exudes tranquillity. The combination of sustainable technologies and materials always forms the foundation of a unique creation, customised to each occupant.
We rework the existing, traditional chalet whilst maintaining its three core ingredients:
- High-value experience and direct contact with the surroundings and nature.
- Interior with a high level of cosiness.
- Timeless architecture with a clear signature and its own identity.

NØDGE makes every project future-proof, whether it’s new-build or restoration. How? By incorporating the Scandinavian way of building into our mindset. Advanced building, making judicious use of sustainable materials and technologies , including cross-laminated timber (CLT) natural insulation materials, geothermal energy, underfloor heating, etc. We are never right on the cutting edge, but we make smart choices in terms of materials and technologies that are both sustainable and innovative.
It is essential that each project be locally anchored to be able to execute it with great thoroughness, whilst respecting the regional patrimony. At NODGE, this is reflected by the use of regional materials, the collaboration with local companies and a nod to the local patrimony. In this way, NODGE achieves a coherent product, with respect for the design, the surroundings and the local economy. It is the combination of all these aspects that makes not only NODGE but also each of its creations unique. NODGE combines fresh architecture with every aspect of sustainability both with regard to the design, the choice of materials and the execution.
